Censorship by Google

Toshihiro Yoshimoto, the owner of the censored page, published What is Google-hachibu(censorship by Google) and now he is developing the software to discover censorship by Google. However, those who regard Google as questionable were minority groups in Japan.

On October 18, 2007, some Internet BBS and blogs reported that Google and some other search engines (including Yahoo!) had delisted Hatsune Miku and Kameda & Naito WBC title match on image search[11].

Japanese are rapidly boycotting Google.The market share of google in Japan decreased 30pt after the incident.

"google" meant the search in Japan. After the event, "google" came to mean the censorship in Japan.

「グーグルによる検閲」
日本
ページを検閲されたヤマモトトシヒロさんは「グーグル八分とは何か」という記事を公開し、現在グーグルによる検閲の事実を発見するソフトウェアを開発している。しかし日本ではグーグルに対する疑問符を持つユーザーは少数派であった。
2007年10月18日、BBSやblogがグーグルや他のサーチエンジン（Yahoo!を含む）が検索結果から初音ミク及びWBCの亀田-内藤戦を削除したことが報じられた。
日本人は速やかにグーグルへのボイコットを開始。グーグルの日本マーケットシェアは事件後30ポイント低下した。
日本において”ググる”は検索するを意味したが、この出来事の後、「検閲する」を意味するようになった（注：引用要求）
